Hello! My name is Sher Pierre and I am a former teacher who is a New Jersey-based calligrapher, live event artist, and founder of SP Ekriti. Ekriti means handwriting in Haitian Creole.

I remember developing a love for letters as soon as I could write and I’ve always enjoyed making them look “pretty.” I especially was over the moon once I learned cursive.

As a child, I was so fascinated with my dad’s awesome signature and worked so hard to duplicate it. I also had fun copying computer fonts. I can say I’ve always had a healthy obsession with all things lettering!

Fast forward to now, I am a skilled artisan who aims to add oohs, ahhs, and awwws to your occasion!
